This is a misunderstanding.  There was another post suggesting typing
error.  I merely observed an unusual case:

        You've done a bit of a weird thing.
        
        13 :'f x'
        
        requests a tacit expression for a dyadic function.
        And then you used the function as a monad.
        
        Monads [ and ] give same result.
