Thank you for the report, I can reproduce the bug using j701 linux. This is caused by a commit some months ago
tara: kludge for xlscsv which has trouble to read small block Basically it adds some junk data if the size of excel file written is very small. The file will still be ok for gnumeric but tara detect the inconsistency and rejects it. A possible fix is to disable that check in Tara.
