J is available at the App Store for installation on your iPad and iPhone.

Go to App Store on your device, search for Jsoftware, and do the FREE
install.

In 1 day, without even being announced, there are already 25 installs

The beta version provided JAL support as well as iTunes file sharing. These
features were rejected by the App Store and had to be removed before J was
accepted. Apps like J are only allowed copy/paste for 'data transfer'. It
seems downloading URLs and iTunes file sharing are for media content and
the J use was broader than that.

Initially I was upset by this, but think the resulting situation will be
fine. iTunes file sharing required a direct cable connection and was more
trouble than it was worth. JAL was very nice, but it was for Jsoftware
addons, and didn't provide a general bi-directional transfer solution.

The copy/paste transfer methods will be presented and discussed in the beta
forum. When it has settled down, it will be reflected in updates to the
standard library and in a wiki page J for iOS.

In simplest terms, copy/paste sharing between any 2 J systems, is done with
email messages or a service such as provided by www.gethopper.com.
