After submitting changes, bibedit should display a link to the record:
http://CFG_SITE_URL/record/REC_ID
This is especially useful in the case of new records.
Even though the record will not be updated immediately, many people would
like to have a link so that they can monitor changes and make sure that
things worked as expected.
