I got this to a point where I could get it in front of Denise, who
helpfully blasted it to smithereens. I have my new batch of work cut out

I've pushed a snapshot of my current work in case anyone wants to
read/review/critique/test. It's called 351-ASMv5-20110320_snapshot.
