Er, I guess I also ask this because I don't know how search_engine
requires this sort of thing to be sent to it. If there are search queries
with + and - in them, will additional changes need to be made to e.g.
perform_request_search, the indices, or anything else before they will be
searched correctly?
My instinct is yes, since a search for title:"e(+)e(-)" turns up 16,000
hits
(http://inspirebeta.net/search?ln=en&p=title%3A%22e%28%2B%29e%28-%29%22&f=&action_search=Search&sf=&so=d&rm=&rg=25&sc=0&of=hb),
many of which are wrong, and searches for title:e(+)e(-) and
title:'e(+)e(-)'
(http://inspirebeta.net/search?ln=en&p=title%3A%27e%28%2B%29e%28-%29%27&f=&action_search=Search&sf=&so=d&rm=&rg=25&sc=0&of=hb)
turn up just one result, which has no parentheses in it, anyway!
