I believe this is likely to be correct.
The sum of citations in the citesummary is the sum of individual citations
to each of his papers, and is 14K. The 6K figure is the sum total of the
number of _papers_ that cite his 170 papers. These will be different
numbers if any paper cites more than one of his papers. It appears that,
on average, each of the 6K papers cite just over 2 of his papers, which
seems fine to me.
