We can do that, but the word //thesis// lives only in MARC tag 980 for
this record, and if we add 980 to the global index, then people
searching for say //conference// or //introductory// would match every
record in corresponding collections. Which is generally good and what
we want, but which can also be somewhat surprising in case of terms
like //introductory// and the like.
We should therefore make sure to clean 980 terms and to use only
"proper" expressions there, so that google-style user searches would
not get blurred. (Also for various non-literature collections like
HEPnames and Institutions.)
