It may be useful for ASCII-fication in one direction; I think Henning uses it in BibAuthorId already. But it would not tell us that `Muenchen' is actually also known as `München', if we would like to go for both directions. (Though I think one direction should be enough for our needs, as I mentioned previously.) Best regards -- Tibor Simko
