That is fine, but translation-wise, if you are looking for a context of some message and the PO file context information is not up to date, then it is generally sufficient to simply grep for the given message in the source code base. If you regenerate PO files into temporary catalogs, then you will get all those new messages that may be only temporary etc. This could mean unnecessary translating and/or lots of msgmerge-ing between various temporary catalogs.
