So the box in question has 4 gigs of memory, and dual, dual-core opterons.
I haven't noticed it being CPU or Memory bound - this is one of the things
to investigate. I just saw that the load average was very high, and then
the machine died.
But I haven't been able to reproduce this behavior, so maybe it went away.
(yeah, right)
