OT1H, most people coming to our team are not especially hot about UI programming, so if things like Pyjamas work well, this could save some UI creation pains. OTOH, if one has people in the team who like UI programming and jQuery and provide libraries etc, then writing JS code ourselves is better than relying on a JS code generated for us by a tool like Pyjamas.
