The limit of CFG_WEBSEARCH_MAX_RECORDS_IN_GROUPS (=200 by default) is there only for regular users, in order to prevent mistaken or malicious misuse of the system. For admins this limit does not apply, so an admin can do things like: <http://inspirebeta.net/search?p=ellis&ot=245,773&rg=500> Perhaps you were not logged in under admin identity?
