Actually I looked at this more and there appears to be places where
variables are getting used via calls to locals() and kwalitee can't tell
that that's the case, and there are places where variables are coming in
as part of the function signature. I don't want to chase through the
whole system to clean these up right now, so I'm closing this; if it
bothers me in future I can come back to it then.
