Hi everyone, I hope you'll excuse me for using the list, but I have an announcement that might be of interest to you.
There's a project going on here at RERO called "Multivio" whose goal is to provide a presentation layer for archives of digital documents: https://www.multivio.org/ Here are a few facts about Multivio: - it is open source software (although the sources are not yet open - they will be GPL'ed later this year); - it is based on SproutCore/JavaScript on the client and Python on the server; - it is based on an open architecture, with the goal of being adaptable and extensible. We are currently employing Multivio directly in our Invenio-based RERO DOC production server <http://doc.rero.ch/> although in its current state we still consider it a prototype. You will notice a multivio button along with (almost) every displayed record. The project is partially funded by E-lib.ch (the "Swiss electronic library" project; see <http://www.e-lib.ch/>). It started in 2008, the funding period ends in April 2011, and we still have some features to implementation until then (see the project site). Please don't hesitate to take a look at the project site <https://www.multivio.org/>, try some examples, try it with your own documents and send us some feedback at <[email protected]>. Thanks and regards, Miguel Moreira -- RERO - Réseau des bibliothèques de Suisse occidentale av. de la Gare 45 CH-1920 Martigny, Suisse http://www.rero.ch/ [email protected]
