1) Maybe network connectivity had temporary issues? Maybe it was just a bad timing in that the server was bombarded with other requests while you've been trying, resulting in some of your queries being stalled? The MaxClients limit on the CDSWARE site was set low due to legacy reasons. I've now raised it a bit, which may help. 2) BTW, did bibupload failed with an explicit FFT error? If not, it should have.
