Follow-up Comment #1:

Hi Jay, it is perfect to use Savannah for these types of bugs. Nikos, who is
currently improving UI of baskets, will take a look at this bug.

BTW, most modules should be immune to this problem, so it would be good to
submit bug per concrete occurrence of the problem.

WRT mailing list traffic, you may want to use project-cdsware-developers
list, it is more alive than -users one, and perhaps more appropriate for some
dev-related kinds of questions and discussions.

Since summer we are also hanging out at Jabber, you are welcome to join if
you would like to chat about some issues. (I'll send you instructions by
email.)

Summary: WebBasket: comment form action URL is not
idempotent

             Open/Closed: Open
         Discussion Lock: Any

The URL used as the form action when submitting a comment on a basket item is
not idempotent. In other words, following the initial POST request via the
comment form, repeated GET requests on the URL will register new empty
comments.

An example of the URL I'm speaking of is: http://<base
url>/yourbaskets/save_comment?bskid=1&recid=93&category=P&topic=0&group=0&ln=en

PS, I'm a new developer on the Smithsonian ADS team. If there is a more
appropriate place to bring up these kinds of issues (rather than filing a
bug) please let me know. I'm subscribed to the [email protected]
list (I think) but there hasn't been any activity there for over a year.
