Update of task #7046 (project cdsware):
Category: CERN Bulletin => WebJournal
Percent Complete: 20% => 70%
_______________________________________________________
Follow-up Comment #3:
All existing WebJournal templates have now been simplified for a better
viewing experience inside Outlook clients.
Next step is to have a dedicated template for the generation of the email
alert, instead of reusing the "index" template of the journals front page.

The HTML alerts sent for each release with the current CERN Bulletin
templates do not display correctly in Outlook (Outlook webmail + desktop
version).
The HTML markup or/and the CSS need to be revised to correctly show up in
these applications.

Outlook WebMail washes away most embedded styles. Still the current style of
the page can be preserved, with some hacks in the CSS (Done).
However note that GMail is more strict and removes almost everything.

Part of the problem seems to come from the fact that Outlook 2007 uses the
HTML rendering engine from Word instead of using the one of Internet
Explorer, which means several severe limitations.
