The new BibEdit interface in Python lacks the 'global replace' option of the
previous PHP interface. A simple global replace facility should be added,
e.g. an optional action "change this field globally?" for every MARC tag.
What is needed is to simply replicate the old BibEdit/PHP behaviour, as it is
still used e.g. in AUTH. The difference between BibEdit/PHP and
BibEdit/Python is the MARCXML, so the BibEdit/Python should not simply modify
bibxxx tables as before, but dump the content of the given MARC field from the
full database, change the value, and "bibupload -c" it back, so that MARCXML
would also get changed for every record.
(The global replace facility does not have to be sophisticated,
as the new INSPIRE developments will bring more advanced AJAX-ish record
editor interface anyway.)
