Hi Samuele,
This is good news, as we're in the process of integrating Zotero
support in RERO DOC (we already support it in our Union Catalog)
through a call to an external service. But we didn't set it up yet, so
if Invenio supports it natively we would prefer so.
RERO DOC currently runs on CDS Invenio 0.99.1. Would it be difficult
to patch it with these recent developments so that we can provide the
Zotero service right away?
Also related to this: is MODS the only export format possible? Zotero
seems to support MARC, but I'm not sure if that includes MARC XML or
just plain text MARC (which is currently the case with RERO's Union
Catalog).
Thanks,
Miguel.

Hello,
I have been using an application called Zotero (http://www.zotero.org
a browser extension, actually) to build and organize my bibliography.
Zotero automatically extracts complete bibliographical information on
an article from sources such as SPIRES, arxiv or PROLA, etc.
It would be extremely useful if zotero could automatically import
information from CDS too, so I started writing a "translator" for CDS,
then I found out that the preferred solution is to have the website
automatically expose the record metadata trough an API. All the
relevant information are here:
http://www.zotero.org/support/make_your_site_zotero_ready
I think that the ability to import a CDS record in a bibliography with
a single click would be extremely powerful and I hope you will
consider supporting zotero.
Best regards,
[...]
