OpenID (http://openid.net/) is a decentralized and standardized SSO
authentication architecture. For Python the python-openid library
(http://www.openidenabled.com/python-openid/) implements its specification.
It would be nice to develop an external authentication plugin to support the
OpenID protocol.
This would require some small particular customization to the login dialog
(since it is not based on user, password pair authentication).
