Note that the existing behaviour changed since the time this ticket was
created: the typed search pattern has now more priority than selected
drop-down field option. However, there are still issues, for example
`/search?p=experiment&f=keyword` leads to a warning about empty
`experiment` fielded search term. So this ticket is still to be
addresesed.
