Do you use `invenio-apache-vhost-ssl.conf' as produced by `inveniocfg --create-apache-conf'? On some operating systems such as SLC4 we have seen that `*:443' in the virtual host definition does not behave well - it is better to use explicitly the concrete IP address in place of the wildcards.
