although the current implementation does not behave "well" as it does not keep track of records no-longer-exposed-but-not-deleted, it still remains valid wrt the OAI-PMH specifications, which does not require to report all deleted records. So you are safe if you oai-delete these records, but repositories that have harvested you will have to do additional work to discover that these records have been deleted.
