Hello all, more than three years ago, there was a mail from Frédéric Gobry about creating a new index to speedup sessiongc:
> On our site, daily runs of sessiongc were now taking more than 10Ks > (~2h47 for those who are not fluent in base-10 prefix multipliers of the > second :-)) > > I tweaked a bit and it seems that simply adding another index: > > create index session_uid on session (uid); > > brings the run time under 30 s. Which is much more bearable :-) http://cdsware.cern.ch/lists/project-cdsware-users/archive/msg00337.shtml http://cdsware.cern.ch/lists/project-cdsware-users/archive/msg00338.shtml I've noted that our sessiongc, executed daily, also lasts about 3 hours, and I cannot see this index. May anybody teach me (a) how to confirm (or deny) that we don't have it, and (b) how to create it? I'm afraid that this index creation hasn't been executed in any update procedure. Thanks, Ferran
