I don't think there are real issues with GNOME itself, which should just
rebuild fine on etch; the real problem is GTK+. Backporting it means
backporting OOo, WxWidgets, parts of XFCE and all packages providing
engines or modules. As Loïc, I won't have the time to do this job, but I
will be able to guide someone who'd volunteer for doing it.
