#520: Country searching in HEP ------------------------+---------------------------- Reporter: hoc | Owner: valkyrie Type: defect | Status: assigned Priority: minor | Milestone: Component: WebSearch | Version: Resolution: | Keywords: INSPIRE syntax ------------------------+----------------------------
Comment (by simko): Replying to [comment:7 valkyrie]: > I'm actually working on this today; we decided to go for Travis's syntax. I don't think we have decided on this already, have we? The colon syntax would mean troubles for the parser to tell which chained queries are legal and which are not legal. Imagine chained queries like: {{{ refersto:HEPnames:author:citedby:institution:country:author:ellis }}} with free permutations of various first and second order search operators and operands. Anyway, it is best to make country-based literature searching possible by attacking this issue at the index time, as I mentioned in ticket:688#comment:2 in the first remark. This is orthogonal to syntax considerations. -- Ticket URL: <http://invenio-software.org/ticket/520#comment:8> Invenio <http://invenio-software.org>
