Greetings, For development of a Digital Archive (as an undergraduate student project) I am planning to use MySQL and Visual C. However I have the following questions:
1. For any kind of digital object (e.g a movie, a jpeg file, a journal paper, etc) how to find the DOI and how to assign DOI to newly created objects? 2. Do digital objects have unique DOI over the internet, irrespective of where they have been downloaded from? 3. Where may I find some guidance regarding the database design for a digital archive (kind of tables to be had, type of metadata to be stored about each object etc.)? 4. Will tools like those available over the website of dublin core metadata initiative help me in any way? 5. How do I use them with MySQL and Visual C?
