Dear Genis,

It is nice to know that you've made one step forward.
I also replaced https -> http, but I have not made one step forward.
Could you please let me know the details ?
do you change http conf or others? did you change permission of dirs?
Which web browser do you use? which flash do you use?

I have a skype lanxinma2008. Would you mind to add me ? I would disscuss with
you.

Thanks a lot,

Regrads,
Lanxin

Dear Lanxin, Jerome,
Today I've made one step forward:
After replacing 'https' --> 'http' and using DEMO VIDEO SUBMISSION I've
managed to upload the video (avi-file).
System informed me that
"the document DEMO-VIDEO-2013-001
...
has been correctly received".
However it does not appear on the web-page. Indeed, looks like no
conversion. ffmpeg version is 0.9.1.

Dear Lanxin, Genis,

I have not yet had a chance to investigate further.

My previous tests with videos upload and conversion did all succeed on my
machine, using standard Invenio distributions. We are however maybe in a
case where external conditions play a role, such as network infrastructure,
plugins (eg. Flash version), etc. We have sometimes seen for example proxies
that would swap user IP addresses, which is forbidden by default in Invenio
for security reasons: You can however loosen that constraint with
CFG_WEBSESSION_IPADDR_CHECK_SKIP_BITS
<http://invenio-software.org/repo/invenio/tree/config/invenio.conf?h=maint-1
.1#n1132>
Maybe that will help.

IIRC Genis was not affected by the same issue: video upload did succeed, but
not conversion (due to ffmpeg version?).

May I also bring your attention to the existing paid Invenio support
contract, which offer more extensive support and faster response time (but
not necessarily a solution!) at:
<https://invenio-software.org/wiki/Community/Support>

Also if you think you are facing a bug, you can register an account on the
Invenio software website and file a bug ticket:
<https://invenio-software.org/register>

Best regards
