The document format conversion matrix is configurable via
CFG_BIBDOCFILE_DESIRED_CONVERSIONS and usually happens at the submission
time, see `convert_file()' living in `websubmit_file_converter.py' and
getting called during submission time via `Shared_Functions.py'. The
Document File Manager also calls it this way.

The additional desired formats are not created during the FFT step, the
thinking being the bibupload would simply faithfully store what it is
being handed at that stage. The format conversion would be plugged in
any given harvesting pipeline before the upload step, just as in the
submission process.
What made me wonder is that in our websubmit functions we generate an
FFT and bibupload it I get these conversions, but if I just bibupload a
similar record I did not. I know understand why this seems to be the
case, but there was a "missing link" by means of this very function.
Or we could perhaps think of making the default format conversions
better configurable and runnable at this later step too...
I think it is ok as it works. I just didn't think about a websubmit
functions to be involved here.
BTW: the conversion routine generates a bunch of gif-thumbnails. IMHO ok
as well, but I actually get a bunch of requests from our users "what are
those gifs there I didn't uplaod them". Could I just hide them from
display in details? On the files page they seemlessly show up as
preview, which is really nice, IMHO.
