Hi Lanxin,

A record can be part of as many collections as you wish.

If you want a record to be part of a particular collection, let's say 'Pictures 2', you need to make sure that the record satisfies the search query for this collection. For example, let's say the collection query for 'Pictures 2' is "collection:pic2" . This means that all records that have in their collection tag (in the 980 MARC tag) the value 'pic2' will be part of this collection. So, all you need to do is to enhance your records by adding a new 980 tag:
980__a:pic2. In your example, the record will have two 980 tags:

980__a pic1
980__a pic2

Hope this helps!

Best regards,
Ludmila

Hello,

I have an Invenio1.1.1 server. There are some pictures under the collection pic1. I need to copy some of records from the collection pic1 to another collection pic2. How to do that ?

I have tried to use 'Run record Editor' to copy, but it is faild.

for example: Tere is a record, one of fields is '980 a pic1", I was tried to add another collection "pic2",

980 a pic1

           pic2

But It is field to add "pic2".

It is possible to copy a records from a collection to another collection?

How to do it ?

Thanks a lot,

Best regards,

Lanxin
