At DESY we'll have to integrate with some stand alone terminal that can handle the RFID chips and also releases the books to be taken outside of the library. Depending on your library I think this is the more common use case, especially for those that lack he mobile device itself, and we have to serve them as well. Probably we could discuss your current musings?
