Good morning,

our IT security specialists are pushing towards the use of systematic authentication for sent e-mails. We have taken care of that for all e-mail clients used by our staff, as well as a number of server applications.

Now I'm stuck with Invenio's messages that are sent to me (for logging purposes: exceptions and other similar stuff).

I have the following declarations in /opt/invenio/etc/invenio-local.conf :

CFG_SITE_SUPPORT_EMAIL = [email protected]
CFG_SITE_ADMIN_EMAIL = [email protected]

Here are the instructions of the IT security team:
---------
* whenever possible, use an authenticated connection to the mail server on port 465 to send email messages. You should use the account linked to the message' sender address.

* in cases where it is difficult to use such an authentication, please use the address [email protected] as sender address.
---------

I feel that using noreply would be easier, but in order to do that I need to know if one of the addresses is used exclusively for the From: field, and if so, which one. Can anyone help me?

From being a reserved Python keyword doesn't simplify Google searching ;-)

Best regards
Alain Borel
