Please forward suitable resumes to *[email protected]* Location: North Hollywood, CA Duration: 6 months*Billrate: Open * * * ** *Description* Systems Engineer with at least 5 years experience implementing and maintaining state-of-the-art/enterprise-class websites, web applications, and related systems. * * *JOB RESPONSIBILITIES* * * - Systems Administration – Site/App/Systems implementation, integration, maintenance, and support. - Service Management – Incident mgmt, Change mgmt, Problem mgmt, Configuration Mgmt. - Documentation – Visio Diagrams, Configuration and Install Guides, SOPs, PCI - Meetings and Conference Calls with Operations Teams and Internal Customers *QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION* * * - Typically has 5 or more years experience with relevant internet technologies required to implement, administer, and support production websites and applications. - Spends a significant amount of time dealing with systems engineering tasks, such as systems administration, security hardening, performance/availability/capacity modeling and management, monitoring design and refinement, as well as researching solutions to existing problems and coming up with new ideas/scripts for automation. *SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIRED* * * Technical Requirements Must be able to demonstrate detailed technical knowledge in most of the following areas: - Windows and Linux server administration experience required. Expertise in system installation, configuration, administration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, preventative maintenance, capacity planning, monitoring, and security procedures. - Web server (IIS, Apache) and application server (Tomcat, WAS) experience required. Expertise in installation, administration, configuration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, preventative maintenance, capacity planning, monitoring, and security procedures. - Content management systems and publishing systems experience preferred but not required. - Database Administration – setup, configuration and basic database troubleshooting skills. - Understanding of internet standards such as -DNS, FTP, SSH, HTML, XML, JDBC, SNMP and other protocols. - IP communication and packet structure, with focus on HTTP protocol and experience with network protocol analyzers. - Experience with load balancing equipment (e.g. F5 BigIP). Experience with switches, routers, and general network troubleshooting is a plus. - Hardware systems design and implementation, cluster management, implementing redundancy and testing failover, etc. - Experience in at least 2 relevant scripting or programming languages (Perl, JavaScript, Python, C, Java, etc). Application development/engineering experience is a huge plus. - Expert use of monitoring and troubleshooting utilities to effectively diagnose problems. - Storage (SAN, NAS, etc). - Security (Visa CISP or PCI experience a plus!). *Communication and Leadership Requirements* Must be able to demonstrate competency in the following areas: - Excellent verbal and written communication. - Communication of ideas and solutions in a clear and organized manner. - Construction of concise and complete technical documentation. - Viewed as a reliable technical resource for others.
