Storage/backup architect will be responsible for the design and architecture of the next gen storage and backup solution for a new data center. Responsibilities include: to assess the current storage, backup and recovery architecture, processes, inventory with the purpose to identify inefficiencies, gaps and issues; to drive the analysis and documentation of technical requirements; lead the design in collaboration with infrastructure architects, storage, backup and system administrators; provide cost/benefit for proposed solutions. · Storage architect will provide solution presentations to Executives and staff. · Provide design process and approach for storage and backup designs · Provide capacity management/planning approach and capacity plans · Provide storage/backup technical designs *Must have proven experience (+8 years as storage architect) in the following:* Assess, plan and design storage consolidation for existing storage infrastructure Design and implementation of various SAN and NAS solutions Design of IP SAN solutions for heterogeneous operating systems Create capacity planning processes and procedures for a SAN solution Design and implement backup and recovery strategies Conduct hands on training, present brown bags and mentor data management staff related to storage architecture and best practices Hands on with industry leader Storage and back up technologies.
