Description/Required Skills: - DBA with a combination of Oracle and SQL Server skills to support application database development and BAU support requests. - This resource will be involved in scripting and implementing SQL code in the test environment and supporting production implementations. - Troubleshooting performance issues, adding users in the test environments, etc. - This DBA will participate in projects that require database scripting, data extracts, data manipulation, model reviews, etc. - Potential projects include upgrading Oracle 9i to version 10g, creating data extracts from transactional systems for the client's data warehouse and access security reporting, user access reviews and security compliance remediation. - This is an Application Support DBA. - A combination of SQL scripting skills (we have both Oracle and SQL Server databases) and mid-level production DBA skills are needed. - There is a significant amount of recurring user access reviews that have to be done. - Client is looking for a well rounded DBA to support our lead DBA as the workload has gotten too large for one person with no backup. - Work Experience 3+ years. - Financial Services Experience 1+ years Experience. - Experience working both Windows 2000/2003 server environment. - Unix and Shell Scripting experience is a plus. - Must have Oracle 9i, PL/SQL and SQL Server 2000/2005 experience. - Work is performed without appreciable direction. - Excellent communication skills.
