Perform “black box” testing of enterprise software written in J2EE and Oracle ADF Faces. - Prepare UNIX scripts as required. - Work with software architect and lead to develop test plans and documentation, brief test results and identified bugs to developers. - This engineer will be involved throughout the product lifecycle through verification and validation to ensure that all products released by our client/SPOT have been developed to high quality standards. - Install, maintain and support web-based applications and middleware software. - Work primarily with Sun Application Server and other web application server technologies. - Work with complex web applications, middleware and back end systems. - Act as configuration manager for Web Application environment including version control and change control using Subversion. *Key Responsibilities* - Define test strategies for new client/server based products with particular emphasis on J2EE - Produce test documentation throughout the full test lifecycle - Development of both manual and automated test cases - Execute test suites across all products - Keeping up to date with new testing techniques - Collects data for and participates in performing competitive analysis and benchmark studies. - Prepares work plans for all assignments and reports progress of plans to the Project Leader. - Works as part of a project team on small projects or a portion of larger projects. - Interface with other teams such as database, networking and other system administrators. *Education/Qualifications * - Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering or equivalent in a relevant subject *Skills/Experience* - Minimum of 3 years practical testing experience testing Client/Server applications. - Working knowledge of performance testing - Experience of writing test harnesses - Exposure to Ant (build tool), JUnit (unit test tool) and JMeter (load test tool) - Experience in writing test documentation i.e. test plans, specifications, reports - Knowledge of the full test lifecycle - Able to work in a Solaris operating system environment. *Other relevant experience:* - Experience of html, web technologies, document formats or xml - Ability to read and understand industry standards to derive test requirements - Experience with Sun Application Server (configuration, deployment), XML (config files) - Understands the concepts of document management and web content management - Experience with J2EE web application server environment (type of examples, websphere, tomcat, and weblogic, or experience with middleware software as a software developer or systems administration capacity.) - Experience with Oracle Database a plus. - Experience with scripting tools such as Ant a plus. *Personal Attributes: * - Good communication/listening skills, proactive - uses initiative, strong attention to detail, ability to work as part of a team, methodical and concise approach to problem solving. *Regards,* * Hari MNCL Inc. * -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "project managment" group.
