SAP HR ESS/MSS/Travel Consultant
Location : *Columbia, SC

*Summary:*
Working under the direction of the South Carolina Enterprise Information
System (SCEIS) HR/Payroll Lead in the Division of State Information
Technology (DSIT), candidates will provide functional and technical
consulting services related to the design, development, testing and on-going
maintenance of SAP software, which is currently being implementing across
South Carolina State government.  The major components of SAP included are
finance, budgeting, materials management, human resources and payroll
modules.

The SAP HR Functional Consultant requested under this SOW must have an
in-depth knowledge of the SAP Human Resources and Payroll functionality for
public sector organizations.  The SAP HR functional consultant must be able
to design and configure this HR/Payroll functionality, while ensuring
integration with other modules such as Finance and Material Management, and
must have experience with business process procedure development, unit
testing, integration testing, development of configuration and functional
specification documentation, etc.  The SAP HR functional consultant must
have prior SAP implementation experience within the Public Sector and
specifically for State Government.

*Specific Duties and Responsibilities*
·         A proven functional/technical professional with at least 2 full
lifecycle SAP R/3 implementation and 5+ years of industry and/or public
sector consulting experience.
·         At least 5+ years of experience implementing SAP Human Resources
modules specifically for ESS/MSS and Travel functionality.
·         Team Lead for SAP ESS/MSS and Travel modules
·         Assist in analyzing As-Is business processes
·         Develop To-Be Process Flows
·         Document future State HR/Payroll Design in project documentation
·         Knowledge transfer to State HR/Payroll Project Team Members
·         Escalate issues to Project Management in a timely manner
·         Adept at designing and implementing technology-enabled business
solutions for clients as a Team Lead
·         A proven resource in defining systems strategy, developing systems
requirements, designing and prototyping, testing, training, defining support
procedures, and implementing practical business solutions under multiple
deadlines
         Able to collaborate with clients, identify engagement follow-on
opportunities, and have a strong desire to excel
·         Strong Project Management, Configuration and Design skills

*Time-frame: * Position to begin effective on or about 04/02/2010; for
approximately six (6) months.  Renewal for up to six (6) additional months
may be considered upon satisfactory performance of the candidate.

*SKILLS REQUIRED:*
Skills and Abilities that the resources should possess include:
Previous SAP Public Sector experience within State Government
Proven ability to deliver high-quality results
Knowledge and experience implementing SAP ESS/MSS and Travel Management
Experience in the development of project documentation including
configuration documentation and functional design specifications, etc.
Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills (with all
levels of the organization) and a very good command of the English language
Ability to work with diverse groups and work within a team environment
Ability to communicate complex ideas and subjects accurately, clearly and
concisely
Ability to transfer knowledge to team members
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft office software including: PowerPoint, Word,
Access, Outlook and Excel
Proven organizational and interpersonal skills; ability to build and
maintain partnerships within different business units
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, complete important time sensitive
tasks, and adapt quickly to last minute changes.
