*Title:* *Data Architect* *Location:* Scotts Valley, CA *Duration:* 6 months *Rate:* $55 - $60 - Data Architect is the generic industry term for this, but not entirely accurate. Data Architecture generally revolves around Data warehousing, ETL, and this is not what they want. - What they are doing is integrating systems and processes. They want someone that has a broad understanding of how various systems in an enterprise environment integrate with each other. Someone that understands how to build processes around those systems - Specifically they have a customer partner portal that manages the entire lifecycle of a vendor signing up with and working with Seagate. This portal has ordering application, pricing apps, general content, etc. - The candidate should be ‘solution agnostic’. Meaning they don’t want Joe Oracle to come in and preach how to get Oracle to work in their environment. They want someone that understands technologies, and based on THEIR business suggest the right solution. Might be Oracle, might not. - The key areas of expertise they want this person to advise on is: · Identity management- considering Oracle IDM but open to other ID mgmt solutions · CRM · Single sign on · Workflow- understand how data flows as part of this customer element they are focusing on · Web services- should understand batch synchronization of data · LDAP- They use Sun Iplanet · **Expertise on Enterprise Design patterns is KEY · Evaluate current state, identify gaps, identify steps in Partner Portal - examples of an Enterprise Architecture plan barring any intellectual property or NDA concerns would be highly desired to see from client *Initiative: * Map direct customer user registrations, application entitlements, and data dependencies across the full ecosystem of relevant systems. *Summary* Plan and lead 5-6 wk effort to document current state and desired state Business (process)-driven enterprise architecture for systems which gather and leverage user registration and customer information to manage access, capabilities, and provide for self-service through web-based applications and portals. *Specific deliverables* Identify and document current and future state * In-scope business processes * Systems and applications supporting in-scope business processes * Key data relationships and dependencies * Data flows between systems and data synchronization dependencies (e.g. real-time/batch) include all attributes and fields required to implement business process * Enterprise application integration capabilities for in-scope systems *(e.g. Web Services, )* * Data owner, system of record, how maintained (data entry, calculated, etc...) * Compliance requirements *(e.g. SOX)* * Data governance requirements (Seagate Corp Data Governance office) *Candidate should have* * Experience organizing and leading data architecture projects. * Ability to create structured documentation based on established design methodologies. * Excellent understanding of enterprise integration design patterns (web services, ESB, BPA) and ability to provide a recommendation based on business requirements and system capabilities. * Experience with identity management initiatives a plus -- Thanks and Regards… Arjun IOIOS Inc (IT Experts), 518 S.Indian Hill BLVD, #206,Claremont,CA 91711 Ph: 909-450-8128 Fax:909-354-3424 [email protected] www.ioiosinc.com -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "project managment" group.
