Hi,
Please send me your resume across [email protected] ASAP. *Need:* Oracle Data Architect. *Location:* Indiana. *Status:* contract *Salary:* Market *Close Date:* 3 months + *Job Description:* * * Multiple Data Warehouses and Business intelligence (BI) applications have been implemented locally and independently at Our client business units across different regions. The BI/DW team has completed a BI Strategy green-belt project and the recommendation from that project is to build an Enterprise Data-Warehouse and to migrate the current DW environments onto it. Enterprise Data Warehousing team has undertaken some services from TCS for doing requirements & related planning of building the new Enterprise Data-Warehouse (EDW). It has been identified that building an Enterprise Data-Warehouse is essential to support the rapid growth of the organization, and to re-engineer or enhance existing BI environments/systems. Our client direction on EDW implementation provides an ideal opportunity to develop common architecture standards for entire EDW space. This will be a foundation for all future implementations and migrations. Reference architecture and design templates are critical part of developing and establishing these standards which is the main purpose of this project. The Project will require setting up a lab environment for Enterprise Data-warehouse in the Our client Validation Environment. . * Project Scope/Objectives* Develop a global enterprise architectural design for the following Enterprise Data-Warehouse infrastructure (Server, OS, Storage, Database and Network) Integration with MDM solutions (Product & Customer) Enterprise Data Model (logical & physical) ETL for enterprise and legacy applications Support near real-time updates from OLTP to EDW Develop design templates for various infrastructure use cases that will be standardized for implementations. For example, design for development and production instances may look different and high-availability and DR options may introduce additional design components. These design templates will include physical details such as server hardware model, software names and versions, storage requirements, network requirements etc. It should also include Develop set of standard use cases that will be used for validating the design solutions. These will form the basis for infrastructure testing during project implementations. Validate the proposed architecture and design templates by implementing the solution in the lab. This implementation should test the proposed design that would be used for subsequent production deployment. The templates should include all relevant technology standards as well as application standards, as proposed by application development support (ADSC) or IT COS functional groups. Critical administrative tasks to support the application platform should be identified, standardized and documented. These should address the critical support processes like backup, recovery, monitoring, purging, and other functions but may not be exhaustive enough to include all administrative activities (e.g. user creation and deletion). Identify tools and utilities which are required to monitor performance metrics based on standard business use cases. These will be configured in lab to test validity and capability of these tools to monitor health and performance when put in production. Shailaja Aim Computer Consulting N.
