This individual should have a minimum of six years of experience in the analysis, design, and development of real-time (High Performance) financial services software applications using Core Java. This should include at least 3 years hands-on experience with feed driven Market Data. Reuters RMDS experience a must. In addition, this individual must be fluent in Core Java, TCL/TK shell scripting in a Unix and/or Linux environment. The candidate should also have experience with relational databases (SQL). J2EE and messaging (JMS/ Tibco RV) also a big plus. They must have a working knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) concepts and have participated in enterprise-scale implementations. - Candidate must have five to ten years of experience in software development working in the financial services industry on the buy or the sell side. - - Experience building UI applications using TCL/TK on the UNIX platform is a big plus. Additionally, C/C++ background is favorable. - - Candidate must also be able to interact with business users and respond to queries from the business accurately and timely. *Skills required:* - Strong JAVA is a must. - Relational databases (Sybase/SQL Server).
