*Send me your resume across [email protected] ASAP.* * * *Role: Business and Data Analyst * *Location: (NJ)* *$50-55/hr* * * This position is within the Enterprise Information Management group which provides critical enterprise information of the firm for reporting and other application processing use. A business data analyst is responsible for working with diverse functional groups within the Global Wealth Management business of MorganStanley SmithBarney. The business analysts are responsible for assisting the business sponsors in the specification of a systems data requirements, understanding whether the underlying data of the firm can support the request and working with Data Services and other developers to deliver the required data. Addition job duties: - Will be responsible for the preparation of appropriate documentation including business/information requirements and program specifications/mappings. They will interact with technical and support teams to assist in prototyping, design and planning of test cases. * Skills Required* A minimum of 10 years experience in IT, 5 years in *Retail Brokerage*. Expertise with the some following tools/languages/disciplines: *data modeling, data profiling, relational database SQL (e.g. Sybase, Oracle). * Knowledge of *data warehousing and data marts*. *Knowledge of retail broker dealer business; back-office operations and trade processing; familiarity with a wide range of financial instruments; such as stocks, options, mutual funds, fixed income. * This individual requires proven analytical skills, demonstrated capability of distilling details from complex business requirements into accurate and precisely specified functional, technical specifications and use cases capable of interpretation by both technical and non-technical readers. Must have the ability to maintain deliverables to schedule, ability to adapt to changes in requirements and priorities, be a self starter, show initiative, ability to work on multiple projects at the same time prioritizing as appropriate. Act in a coordination role with business users, internal and external application development teams, DBA, data warehouse and Q/A groups. They will interact with technical and support teams to assist in prototyping, design and planning of test cases.
