Title: *Project Manager* Location: NYC Duration: *5 months + (35hrs week)* Description: Responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating business process and user needs. • Conduct business analysis as needed and translate business needs into detailed functional requirements for client’s IT system needs. • Serve as point of contact on all project matters. • Prepare a plan document defining the project schedule and budget, project team framework and scope, highlighting the milestones and the execution strategy. • Responsible for the planning, execution and implementation of the project and will work closely with Developers, QA Staff, vendors, business owners and SMEs to achieve the project deliverables. Develop rollout plan and oversee deployment into production. • Coordinate and delegate assignments to vendor staff, project staff and business owners/SMEs. • Handle change request management, budgeting, and risk issues in all phases of the project life-cycle. • Facilitates communication between all skateholders and project team members during all phases to ensure that business needs are being met and that the project is progressing according to the timeline and budget. • Conduct status meetings. Assure proper articulation and reporting of project status to stakeholders and executive management. • Communicate risks and issues and intervene when necessary to assure timely completion of the project. • Coordinate user training. *MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE * Baccalaureate degree in computer science (or closely related field) and minimum four years of experience, or a Master’s degree in computer science (or closely related field) and minimum of three years of experience. At least 3 years experience in information technology (see above) with one or more of the following areas: system administration, implementation, coordination, support, management, or maintenance. *DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE* Experience managing the implementation of business automation processes using Microsoft SharePoint 2007/2010, SharePoint workflows, custom webparts, etc. Should have hands-on experience with enterprise-wide solutions and working with end-users. Excellent Technical, Communication and Writing skills.
