The primary functions will be: Analyze the server environment to determine where improvements can be made. Design a migration plan from a single domain to multi-domain Active Directory Evaluate and recommend remediation for security issues including current security posture, patch levels, method for automatically deploying patches after testing, evaluate systems to determine if unnecessary services are running, etc. Analyze and trouble-shoot performance issues on the servers. SKILLS 1. Active Directory configuration, replication, and trouble-shooting 2. Server monitoring and performance tuning 3. Security scanning using a variety of open or closed source tools 4. Operating system security patch testing and installation ASSOCIATED SKILL SETS 1. Basic understanding of Linux operating systems 2. Experience in migrating domains 3. Auditing Windows based servers for security issues 4. Utilizing SNMP or scripting languages to query system attributes 5.
