The Business Process Analyst will review existing processes by which
information on student-teacher-course match is captured, processed, and
verified. The Business Process Analyst will be expected to complete mapping
of current process and systems, document workflow, and develop new
operational efficiencies to improve data quality, improve alignment with
other school data verification processes, and reduce burden on school
staff.  The Analyst will independently work to identify potential root
causes of current challenges, recommend process or organizational
improvements, and develop an implementation plan based on those
recommendations.



*Qualifications:*

F2F Required (No telephonic rounds)

Work hours: 35 hours/week

Key Relationships:  Will work closely with business owners in Research and
Policy Support Group, Data Management, DIIT, and other teams with a role or
stake in process as needed.

*Required Qualifications:*

*Other Required Qualifications:*

A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and *eight years *of
satisfactory full-time professional experience, *five* of which will
include: organizational research or program evaluation;business process
improvement services in data and technology-centric environments;operations
research technical and user documentation;engineering process
improvements;management and methods analysis;educational, personnel or
public administration;short- and long-term planning;independent research,
data collection and analysis;strong problem solving skills and creative
systems thinking

Preferred: In depth knowledge of best practices in data analysis, process
improvement and organizational design.Strong belief in the value of
educators using student achievement data to make instructional and
organizational decisions. Excellent interpersonal skills in working with
education and non-education personnel internal and external to the DOE.
Experience with NYCDOE student-level data and/or student management systems
(e.g. ATS, STARS, eScholar)
