The Database Administrator will design, create, implement, and maintain
Database solutions. The Database Administrator must possess a highly
developed understanding and expertise of the following:
A diverse set of Database technologies to include, Database Management
System backup and recovery, TSM, Database performance tuning, SQL analysis
and tuning, Data Modeling, Data Security and Data Quality Assurance.
SME for most, if not all, Database technology utilized by the corporate
and field end users.
Regarded as a Database support expert and understands the many user
environments which would be supported.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years experience with Oracle 9, 10G, 11G and RAC in
addition to Microsoft SQL Database Management System 2005, Experience with
MS SQL database administration on Unix (AIX preferred) platform.
Strong verbal, presentation and written communication skills.
Oracle RAC
MS 2008 Clusters
Experience with SQL Server Database Management System (SQL Server 2000
and 2005)
SQL Tuning Expert
Expert in Unix (AIX) Shell and PERL Scripting
Expert in Data Quality and Security
Experience with on call 24 x 7 production pager rotation duties
Experience with Managing Microsoft software versions, installations,
upgrades and patch installations
Familiarity with Client connectivity variants (OCI, ODBC, JDBC)
