Position       :           ETL Programmer-Analyst (Datastage W/ Teradata)

Location      :           Charlotte, NC

Duration     :           4-6 Months Contract





*JOB DESCRIPTION*

The ETL Programmer-Analyst designs, develops, tests and implements complex
jobs and sequences using the DataStage ETL tool. The candidate will assist
in data analysis efforts and will provide input to the ETL design. The
successful candidate must have good communication skills and
problem-solving skills.

The individual needs to be able to work with other technical team members
such as the Data Architect, Infrastructure Resources, Database
Administrators, etc, as well as members from the business team.

*REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:*

Proficiency with DataStage ETL tool with a minimum of 5 years of
development experience.

Recent experience with Teradata is highly desired

Strong Teradata SQL skills

Must be able to provide tool mentoring, actively pursuing and promoting
knowledge transfer in order to share/evolve best practices.

Excellent communication skills, both oral and written



*PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:*

Experience working on UNIX & Shell Scripting

Exposure to application maintenance and support

Experience generating and interpreting mapping documentation, and
translating into detailed design specifications and ETL code.

Experience with job schedulers such as Autosys



*BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:*

Bachelors degree in Computer Sciences Engineering or equivalent.

Experience working with one of the RDBMS such as Oracle, DB2, SQL Server or
Teradata
