Job Title: SQL Developer Location: Minneapolis, MN (Only Locals) Duration: 10+ Months Contract Must be Green Card or US Citizen. LOCAL candidates ONLY; must be available for in-person interview on very short notice after initial phone interview. Responsibilities: Conduct data analysis to ensure meaningful data is presented Track & report on progress using the ticketing system Document processes and procedures Create, modify, read and troubleshoot stored procedures, SQL jobs, SSIS and DTS packages, and SSRS reports Gather user requirements and convert those requirements into useful SSRS reports Develop, optimize and execute complex SQL queries or other complex query structure/automation from diverse data sets Create/design SQL server tables within a database to meet business needs. Ability to access, import, extract, transfer or load data from heterogeneous data sources (Oracle, SQL Server, text files) Requirements: Minimum 6 years of professional software development experience and demonstrated knowledge of SDLC cycle required. Minimum 6 years of SQL development experience with stored procedures, functions, tables, indices, CTE, ranking functions, etc. and application development experience in SSRS, SSIS and DTS on Microsoft SQL Server 2005, 2008, and 2012. Must be able to successfully utilize the following technical tools: SQL Server Management Services, SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Integrated Services, and Visual Studio. Experience with Windows Operating Systems. Solid background and proficiency in programming languages and tools. Ability to work with many different departments comprised of multiple levels of technical expertise. A team player who is influential and builds good working relationships across all functions. Flexibility, integrity and creative problem-solving skills are a pre-requisite to be successful in this role. Ability to work independently under minimal supervision. Ability to multitask effectively and work well under pressure. Possess strong time management skills in order to manage multiple projects and priorities. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills. Understanding of either application or database performance optimization techniques. Preferred: Experience in various IT regulatory and compliance standards. Experience in .Net, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Web Services development. Experience supporting and troubleshooting Java and J2EE applications. Application Server and Web server technology knowledge of one or more of the following: Jboss, BEA WebLogic, IBM WebSphere, IIS, Tomcat / Apache.
