Job Title: SAP PI Developer Location: Northridge, CA Duration: 6+ Months Contract *upon offer, candidates must complete background check and drug test* ROLE DESCRIPTION: Works closely with functional business analysts and the business to enhance SAP through reporting or technical changes from design through construction, testing, and launch. Enable all departments to optimize the capabilities of SAP and other business systems by enhancing reporting capability as well as enhancing business processes through technical modifications. Establish a close relationship with the others in IT applications to ensure that the business needs are understood and being met / planned for appropriately. Works on and coordinates key SAP deliverables. Identifies SAP systems problem trends. Monitors the testing and evaluation of new versions and enhancement of the SAP system and related software. This includes customizing and error resolution. Configure and tune XI/PI infrastructure and design for optimal performance. Assist Change Management and Instructional Management with operational and technical documentation. Provide project management for XI/PI development activities as assigned. Monitor system activity across entire system landscape. Create system performance and end user reports and queries. Review all XI/PI scenario related to User Guides. KNOWLEDGE / EDUCATION: Bachelor Degree required, MBA preferred 6+ years IT related professional work experience and 3+ years professional work experience in SAP Exchange Infrastructure / Process Integration. The successful applicant will have very strong and deep knowledge of the SAP Java based environments, and more specific with the XI/PI software as a system engineer. Experience in PI 7.0. Knowledge in SAP ALE/EDI including programming & configuration, working knowledge of EDI and mapping tools. Example Gentran, Non-SAP middleware like WebSphere and WebMotheds EAI, EDI and mapping tools; JAVA and XML. JOB EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 2 full SAP Implementation project life cycle experience. Proven technical skills in an SAP XI/PI environment. Solid understanding of SAP as a business system from a technical point of view. Participation in full project lifecycle implementations using ASAP methodology. Prior experience of having worked on a global implementation is a definite plus. SKILLS / COMPETENCIES: Strong technical skills in an SAP XI/PI system environment. Strong decision making abilities and problem resolution skills. Configure the System Landscape Directory (SLD) for XI/PI. Create Technical Systems and Business Systems in the SLD. Create objects in the Integration Repository, i.e. Data Types, Message Types, Message Interfaces Message Mappings, and Interface Mappings Create JAVA function routines for mapping. Create JAVA and ABAP mapping programs. Create objects in the Integration Repository, i.e. Receiver Determination, Interface Determination, Receiver Agreement, and Sender Agreements. Create Business Process Mapping Scenarios. Create detailed documentation on all Interface Scenarios. Provide ABAP developments, i.e. BAPI, IDOC and RFC.
