Job Title: Java Developer Location: Columbus, OH (Only Locals) Duration: 6-18 Months Contract Max Rate: $42/hr (5 years of experience) Interview: In Person Interview Only. 100% required. Required skills/years: Experience with Java Websphere programming: 5 Experience utilizing JPA (Java Persistence API), Hibernate, Java Server Faces and Facelets: 3 Experience programming using relational databases (i.e., Oracle x or SQL Server): 5 Experience in the designing and setting-up relational data bases, manipulating relational data, file structures and creating data models: 5 Experience in gathering, translating and documenting program specifications and design requirements: 5 Experience in object oriented programming techniques: 5 Experience performing structured code reviews and unit testing: 5 Experience translating documented or discovered business requirements into system design document(s) and program same in Java: 5 Experience in software design and development programming skills: 5 Experience creating technical documentation according to standards: 5 Experience designing and developing enterprise business reports: 4 Experience using office automation tools Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office (Word and Excel, Visio): 5 Developer with experience developing and implementing a web based application solutions will provide analysis, programming and documentation services to the Web and Business Solutions section of the Office of Information Services. Specific duties of these IT professionals include, but are not limited, to: Work directly with a team of business and development staff; utilizing programming software connected to a relational database. Translate business requirements into a sound and thoroughly documented system design. Participate in and support the life cycle development of the web based applications of the currently operational WOTC system Follow the ODJFS structured software development process to design, develop and test algorithms, screens and application processes. Create technical and user documentation according to JFS standards. Assist with the system and user acceptance testing of the final product, making application program changes as directed or appropriate. Possess excellent written and oral communication skills Transfer application knowledge to ODJFS technical staff.
